Built in 1897, our beautiful red-brick building has stood proudly in the heart of the city for more than a century — and today, it continues to serve locals, visitors and overnight guests with great beer, warm hospitality and lively entertainment.
We’re incredibly proud that The Black Horse was one of 10 finalists in The Press “Best Pub 2025” Awards, a huge recognition of the atmosphere, community and experience our pub is known for.
